Tendon-bone Healing in a Rat Cannulation Model

چکیده
INTRODUCTION: Prior research has examined complex methods of biologic augmentation during rotator cuff repair, including tendon transplants and extracellular matrix grafts. Our proposed procedure utilizes local autogenous bone marrow delivered to the repair site via a cannulated humeral implant. Such marrow delivery channels could be developed for suture anchors and other surgical hardware and may offer a strategy of autogenous biologic augmentation that is no more invasive or timeconsuming than current repair procedures.

The effect of aquatic activity and alogenic bone marrow derived mesenchymal stem cells fortified with Platelet-Rich Plasma in treatment of Achilles tendon in rat
The aim of this study was to the effect of aquatic activity and alogenic bone marrow derived mesenchymal stem cells fortified with Platelet-Rich Plasma in treatment of Achilles tendon in rat. 74 Sprague-Dawley rats were selected and tendon injury was formed in 69 of them. Subsequently, these rats were randomly divided into 8 groups and 5 rats which were without any injuries were chosen as the ...

Objective- To investigate the effect of intratendinous injection of bMSCs on the rate and extent of tendon healing after primary repair in a rabbit model. Design- Experimental study. Animals- Twenty seven skeletally mature New Zealand white rabbits weighing 1.8- 2.5 kg were used. Twenty rabbits were used as the experimental animals, and seven others were used as a source of bone marrow-derived ...
متن کاملThe Healing Effects of Aquatic Activities and Allogenic Injection of Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) on Injuries of Achilles Tendon in Experimental Rat
BACKGROUND Clinical tendon injuries represent serious and unresolved issues of the case on how the injured tendons could be improved based on natural structure and mechanical strength. The aim of this studies the effect of aquatic activities and alogenic platelet rich plasma (PRP) injection in healing Achilles tendons of rats. METHODS Forty rats were randomly divided into 5 equal groups. Se...
متن کاملTemporal and Spatial Expression of TGF-b1 in the Early Phase of Patellar Tendon Healing after Application of Platelet Rich Plasma
Background:The aim of this study is to find out the spatial and temporal expression of TGF-b1 during the tendon healing, after application of Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP). Methods: A patellar tendon defect model in rabbits was used for this purpose. 48 skeletally mature New Zealand White rabbits, weighing 3.5 kg, were used for this study. Equal numbers of animals from both groups were sacrific...
متن کاملIntermittently Administered Parathyroid Hormone [1–34] Promotes Tendon-Bone Healing in a Rat Model
The objective of this study was to investigate whether intermittent administration of parathyroid hormone [1-34] (PTH[1-34]) promotes tendon-bone healing after anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction in vivo. A rat model of ACL reconstruction with autograft was established at the left hind leg. Every day, injections of 60 μg PTH[1-34]/kg subcutaneously were given to the PTH group rats (...
